QUESTIONS

The eight questions the pilot asked first, answered without the fluff. Everything else is in the specification.

Still unsure — write to us and a person answers
ASK A QUESTIONNo. The cuff clamps the upper edge of the ear with a spring and leaves nothing behind. It fits either ear, and you can move it between them.
Only what you hold it for. The microphone is wired to the stone: it opens when you press and closes when you let go. Between presses there is no standby and no wake word.
It reads pace, not content. Steps, posture and how long you sat are counted on the cuff itself, and none of those counters ever carry audio.
No, and it will not guess. Mote reports what happened during the day and leaves the reading of it to you.
The stone lights amber for as long as you hold it, on the outside of the cuff where the room can see it. Recording that nobody can see is not something we wanted to build.
Nowhere. The audio is transcribed on your phone and thrown away the moment the words exist. What stays is text, on the device, and one button empties all of it.
No. The cuff, the dock and the app are a single purchase, and the app keeps working whether or not we ship another one.
